Lead finance and operations across Shubbak’s festival and year-round programme. Oversee budgets, compliance, HR and governance, ensuring effective organisational delivery.
Working pattern:
32 hours per week (across 4 days)
Standard working day: 8 hours per day
Contract: 2 years, with a temporary increase to full-time (40 hours/week) for approximately 3 months during the festival period
Working hours can be scheduled flexibly between 09:00-19:00, with core hours from 10:30-16:30
Significant experience in financial management, reporting and operational leadership within a creative or cultural organisation. Proven experience managing complex budgets, financial controls and reporting processes. Experience in festival or event contexts and contract management across staff, freelancers and partners. Strong understanding of compliance requirements including Arts Council England NPO frameworks, charity law and governance. Experience in HR processes, recruitment and team management. Ability to manage complex workloads and multiple deadlines with strong problem-solving skills. Experience contributing to fundraising and organisational planning desirable. Knowledge of marketing/PR in the cultural sector beneficial. Strong commitment to diversity, inclusion and accessibility. Candidates must have the right to work in the UK.
