About the Role
As Head of Music Patron, you’ll lead a growing initiative at a pivotal moment. Your responsibilities include:
- Growing patron numbers via digital engagement and partnerships
- Scaling operations to support expansion
- Providing visionary leadership and advocating for our mission
- Leading fundraising efforts for financial sustainability
This role is ideal for someone who thrives on innovation, collaboration, and reimagining how music is funded and supported in the UK.
About Music Patron
Music Patron connects audiences with composers, providing a platform for sustainable support of new music. Since launching in 2024, we’ve built a community of 27 composers and over 100 patrons, with ambitious plans for growth.
Our platform enables composers to share updates, performances, and insights, while patrons make regular donations to sustain music creation. We operate without fees for composers or patrons, funding operations through GiftAid and small top-up donations.
Our vision is to support 100+ composers and grow our patron base to over 1,000 in the next three years.

This hands-on leadership role suits someone eager to tackle the challenges and opportunities of a startup in the arts sector.
Key Details
- Start Date: 1 April 2025 or earlier
- Contract: 4-5 days/week, initially on a 12-month consulting contract
- Pay: Competitive for the sector, dependent on experience
- Reports to: Music Patron Steering Committee

- Successful track record leading organisations through growth and change, including team and budget management.

Digital Project Development and Scaling
- Experience with online platforms, communities, or social media growth.

Fundraising Success
- Secured individual donations of £10k+ and raised £100k+ in a single campaign.

Strategic Partnerships
- Strong communication, advocacy, and stakeholder engagement skills.

Governance and Regulation
- Experience working with governance bodies and understanding charitable purpose.
