Location: Birmingham Rep (1 handover week) and Manchester Opera House (1 week of performances)
Contract Dates: Week commencing Monday 2 March – Sunday 22 March 2026
(commencing in week three of performances at The Rep, concluding after the Manchester get-out)
Reports to: Birmingham Rep Producing Team (during handover), Melting Pot General Management Team (following the Birmingham Rep Run) and Costume Designer
Fee: £900 per week + Touring Allowance and travel in accordance with the UK Theatre/Equity Agreement
Production Details:
London, 1995. Two of the country’s biggest bands release singles on the same day, commencing the battle of Britpop.

Job Requirements
- Responsible for the maintenance of all costumes to the standard required by the Costume Designer.
- Supervise other members of the department.
- Ensure a Costume Bible is collected from Birmingham Rep, maintained and update if required on tour.
- Attend the get-in, fit-up and get-out as required.
- Ensure all wardrobe equipment is fit for purpose and the wardrobe room is in working order.
- Clean and launder all costumes in the manner and frequency required to maintain the appearance of the costumes, including co-ordinating dry cleaning.
- Carry out all running repairs on costumes as required.
- Follow up on all notes made by the team regarding costumes in their care, checking for accuracy and to maintain the master costume bible.
- Record Wardrobe department COSHH record / Health and Safety and good housekeeping procedures.
- Attend production meetings, rehearsals, calls and performances as required.
- Undertake other reasonable duties as required by the Producers or Company Stage Manager.
