Health Assistant in Los Angeles, California

Description We are offering a long-term contract employment opportunity for a Health Assistant in the non-profit sector, located in Los Angeles, California. This role centers on administrative assistance, where you’ll be tasked with handling customer applications and inquiries, maintaining records, and monitoring accounts.

Responsibilities:

• Efficiently process credit applications from customers

• Keep customer credit records up-to-date and accurate

• Respond to and resolve customer inquiries in a timely manner

• Monitor customer accounts and initiate appropriate action when necessary

• Assist with administrative tasks as needed in the health department. Requirements • A Bachelor’s degree in health administration, public health, or related field.

• Proven experience in administrative assistance, preferably within a non-profit or healthcare setting.

• Proficient in using office software, particularly spreadsheet, word processing, and presentation tools.

• Excellent organizational and multitasking skills, with an ability to prioritize tasks.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to work well in a team as well as independently.

• Familiarity with medical terminologies and healthcare regulations.

• Ability to handle sensitive information with utmost confidentiality.

• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

• Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.

• Ability to handle emergency situations with professionalism and composure.

• Passion for serving the community and aligning with the non-profit’s mission and values.
