Job Description:

• Develop and present health education and promotion programs based on current literature, research findings, and any other evidence based resources.

• Identify and assist clients/families with specific education needs.

• Work collaboratively with community partners, members of client’s treatment team, and other clinic personnel.

• Prepare and distribute materials such as reports, bulletins, and visual aids.

• Participate in the clinical effectiveness group to promote quality patient care by utilizing up-to-date HIV information and risk reduction information.

• Conduct patient surveys as needed to identify barriers or areas needing dedicated educational efforts.

• Participate in multi-disciplinary staffing, discharge staffing, family conferences, etc. as needed. Act as a resource for peers.

• Develop reports on health education and risk reduction activities for Ryan White Parts A, C and D, or for other grants as needed.

Expected Salary:

$19.01 to $24.67 per hour depending on education and experience.

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate area and two years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

• HIV 501 class

• 6 months on-site training or 1 year experience with HIV population.
