Job Description:
We are seeking a highly driven Product Director with a background in automated solutions to join our Healthcare Solutions Team. This position is responsible for leading the strategic execution of Marketing and Sales programs and services that have a considerable impact on Company results across multiple product lines, channels, regions and/or Business Units (BUs).
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Partners with Senior Leadership to develop strategies that drive sales and increase profit, market share, and brand awareness.
- Responsible for product management of key automation tools including MotionMD, benefits verification, and other key commercial solutions provided by DJOHS.
- Develops the market strategy for DJOHS based on assessment of competitive environment and customer requirements.
- Owns the commercial automation and solutions roadmap and works with DJOHS Leadership on future commercial development, features, and overall vision.
- Authorizes Go-to-Market plans.
- Identifies new distribution channels and integrates product management into DJOHS marketing programs.
- Establishes marketing programs for new solutions and/or new features for exiting solutions and functionalities, including identification of market segments, solutions positioning, pricing and profitability.
- Works closely with automation software architects and the software development team to define system requirements and implement new features and benefits.
- Assists in establishing pricing models.
- Has shared responsibility for product revenue growth targets and SaaS revenue targets related to DJOHS automated solutions.
- Assists in the coordination of solution implementations including synchronization of resources such as communications, systems, legal, vendors, etc.
- Works collaboratively with DJOHS, Sales Management, Product Directors, Sales Representatives, and Distributor Partners and interacts directly with customers to develop and deliver overall commercial solutions.
- Partners with the DJO Legal and Compliance Teams to ensure marketing programs adhere to compliance regulations and policies.
- Responsible for approvals as it relates to DJOHS commercial offerings.
- Develops training documents and tools for Field Sales and Service Teams.
Compliance
- Demonstrates commitment to the DJO Compliance & Ethics Program, the DJO Code of Conduct, the DJO Sales and Marketing Code of Conduct, the AdvaMed Code of Ethics, and all supporting and applicable regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Adheres to all internal Corporate Compliance guidelines, OIG, government healthcare regulations, regulatory policies and procedures, and privacy and security standards in accordance with government agencies, including HIPAA requirements.
- Treats Protected Health Information (PHI) with the strictest confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA standards.
- Acquires a basic understanding of the field to include regulatory compliance issues and adheres to these guidelines.
Leadership and Management
- Provides mentorship, guidance, and leadership needed to instill a team-oriented and results-driven team.
- Develops talent and determines appropriate staffing levels to achieve objectives.
- Responsible for effectively managing the activities of direct reports and ensuring the organization’s abilities continue to improve through individual development and developing talent throughout the organization.
- Provides one-on-one training, coaching/mentoring, development, and team building.
- Leads staff performance management activities to improve capabilities and skills using regular objective setting and review process, performing appraisals and coaching of individuals on development plans.
- Performs functional supervision including staff scheduling, hiring, performance and evaluation and terminations.
- Conducts regularly scheduled one-on-ones with team members to assess and address development needs.
- Conducts routine conference calls, team meetings, and one-on-one meetings with team as necessary to drive business goals.
- Works collaboratively across functions aligned towards broader organization goals.
- Proactively identifies, establishes, and maintains strong working relationships with key decision makers and constituents.
- Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field equivalent required.
- MBA preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in medical device, healthcare technology, or related, required.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in healthcare automation required.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a people management role required.
- Demonstrated experience leading remote teams and/or teams spanning multiple locations.
- Strong customer relations and service background with an understanding of workflow in physician, and acute care settings required.
- Thorough working knowledge of insurance payors, payor development, and contract procedures.
- Demonstrated experience driving brand strategy, strategy comprehension, and strategy consensus within a diverse group of stakeholders.
- Experience in the orthopedic/DME industry strongly preferred.
- Clinical or R&D experience in the medical device industry preferred.
- Working knowledge of MotionMD software preferred.
- Proficient in using Trello.
- Must possess a valid Driver’s License and current automobile insurance.
- Must satisfy third-party credentialing requirements to gain access to hospital accounts.
TRAVEL
- Must be able to travel up to 20% of the time.
- Considerable time spent traveling in car.
- Typical work-related travel assignments range 1-5 days, and as such overnight, out-of-town stays are required.
- Requires air travel on occasional basis.
WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Field based (i.e., home office, physician’s offices, hospitals, clinics, etc.).
- Physical Demands: Must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Required to talk and hear. Regularly required to sit, and use hands and fingers to handle or feel, and to manipulate keys on a keyboard and operate portable input devices (e.g., smart phone, mouse). Occasionally required to stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms. Office deskwork requiring sitting, walking, using phone and computer. Vision abilities required by this job include close vision.
