Position Summary

As the Oracle Cerner Technical Director, you are responsible for leading and managing our technical consulting team. You will be responsible for the delivery of technical solutions to our healthcare clients, ensuring alignment with their strategic goals and regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of healthcare technology, strong leadership skills and a proven track record of successful project management.

Qualifications

Client Relationship Management

  • Building and manage successful client relationships with their established network.
  • Quickly establish credibility for the respective project work by proactively building strategic working relationships and demonstrating Cerner expertise. 
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of technical solutions with clinical and operational workflows.

Practice Development

  • Participate as a leader in practice management which includes tools and methodologies to deliver work, and talent development including recruiting.
  • Participate in activities such as sales pursuits, solution advancement and methodology, recruiting, and internal training development, as appropriate. 

Managing and Leading Teams

  • Create an effective work environment setting a positive tone, establishing performance expectations and driving accountability through motivation.
  • Provide leadership to both consulting and client personnel to identify, quantify, implement and measure specific improvement initiatives. 
  • Manage project timelines, budgets and resources to ensure successful project delivery
  • Effectively direct, coach, motivate and evaluate managers and associates including completion of all elements of Huron’s performance management process.

Engagement Management 

  • Lead engagement planning; organize and schedule resources; and ensure compliance with internal policies and engagement administration. 
  • Utilize tools to measure engagement progress, benefits provided to clients, achievement of budget expectations.
  • Develop work plans and coordinate daily fieldwork and engagement team activities.
  • Assist in preparation and review of client deliverables including system analysis, Cerner workflow design and integration points in process flows, training, and presentations

Analytical and Critical Thinking

  • Conduct client interviews related to Cerner build and workflow design to identify, recommend, and solve system and business problems 
  • Lead team efforts in developing system solutions to difficult or complex client situations to ensure goals and objectives are met.
  • Adapt methodologies to typical and complex situations, circumstances and new requirements.
  • Communicate effectively (written and verbal) to a variety of audience.
  • Demonstrate a high degree of self-awareness and ability to accurately gauge others to appropriately guide thinking and behavior, especially in difficult situations.
  • Represent Huron Healthcare with poise, professionalism and confidence.
  • Communicate effectively with all levels of client management, including C-suite client leadership.
  • Monitor scope of client expectations surrounding delivery of generated results.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

  • Extensive experience implementing Oracle Cerner with the ability to assist with project management activities and set the foundation for successful implementations.
  • 7+ years’ experience providing Oracle Cerner consulting in hospitals and healthcare
  • Deep knowledge and expertise in RevElate patient accounting product and Oracle Cerner revenue cycle management portfolio.
  • Huron requires a Bachelor’s Degree in a field related to this position or equivalent work experience.
  • U.S. work authorization required.
  • Willingness and ability to travel every week up to 80% of the time if necessary and work extended hours as needed.
