JOB DUTIES
The position holder will be responsible for contributing to strengthening the capacities of the Heifer International Project team – Honduras, as well as the participating organizations, by facilitating training processes and organizational support.
Their work will be focused on improving institutional performance and promoting leadership, equity, generational integration, diversity, and the sustainability of initiatives promoted within the framework of the Locally Led Sustainable Development (LLSD) approach.
Main functions:
• Implement the Social Capital, Gender, Generational Integration, and Knowledge Management Strategy.
• Facilitate training, methodologies, tools, and support materials tailored to the needs of partner teams and organizations.
• Provide support on organizational and governance aspects, including:
o Development and updating of internal regulations and bylaws.
o Clarification of roles and functions on boards of directors.
o Promotion of participatory decision-making processes.
o Facilitation in conflict resolution and organizational coexistence norms.
• Promote organizational values, ethical principles, and a sense of belonging among members of the organizations.
• Contribute to the construction of solid, inclusive, and sustainable organizational structures aligned with the project objectives.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
-Design and implement Heifer International’s institutional strategies and methodologies, adapted to the sociocultural context of Honduras, ensuring their coherence with global approaches to sustainable development, the Values-Based Holistic Development Model (VBHCD) and the Locally Led Sustainable Development (LSSD) Model, in order to strengthen social capital, community resilience, and the sustainability of interventions.
-Coordinate the effective execution of Heifer Honduras’ Social Capital Strategy, based on its four fundamental pillars: training and capacity building, gender approach, Chain Passage, and knowledge management, including the design and implementation of training programs, the promotion of the Global Organizing Principles (GOPs), and the development of participatory community governance processes, strengthening organizational capacity through content on internal regulations, leadership, conflict resolution, and decision-making.
-Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with local governments, partner organizations, and key stakeholders in the area of ​​influence, promoting synergies within the framework of Heifer Honduras’ Social Capital and Gender strategies.
– Coordinate and provide technical support for the active participation of strategic allies and communities in sectoral roundtables and territorial coordination spaces, strengthening collaborative management and the impact of projects on the territory.
– Efficiently manage the execution of budgets and AOPs assigned to the Social Capital component, ensuring compliance with Heifer International’s administrative guidelines and the requirements of donors and cooperating partners.
-Implement the Monitoring and Evaluation System (CROP) to record training processes and monitor resource use, complemented by field visits and ongoing evaluation of the impact of actions on businesses, families, and community organizations.
-Maintain fluid communication with the project’s technical team, facilitating feedback on the execution of the Social Capital strategy and promoting planning, self-assessment, and continuous improvement (PARP) processes.
-Coordinate the identification of lessons learned and key findings, supporting the development of improvement plans based on project results to strengthen the quality and effectiveness of interventions.
-Identify, systematize, and communicate relevant case studies, success stories, and evaluation processes, highlighting the project’s impacts and promoting the dissemination of best practices internally and externally.
DELIVERABLES:
*Strategy implementation plan (social capital, gender, youth, social responsibility).
*Training curriculum and associated materials on organizational governance topics.
*Strategy implementation reports (including gender, youth, and Chain Transfer).
*Weekly reports on the Field Schools they have implemented, including strategies, detailing the methodologies used and results obtained.
*Communication products that consider the pedagogical or andragogical methodologies required for the target segment (manuals, guides, audiovisuals) validated and applied in training processes.
*Monthly technical reports on progress, challenges, and recommendations to improve the social sustainability of the supported organizations.
*Report on the working relationships established with key stakeholders (local governments, strategic allies, etc.).
*Report on inter-institutional actions and the participation of allied organizations in the intervention area.
*Report with documentation and a follow-up strategy for the activities and agreements reached at the sectoral roundtables.
*Development of work plans for the sectoral roundtables served by PHI.
*Reports on budget and POAS execution, with follow-up on their implementation.
*Reports on the registration and analysis of training processes developed with the PHI team and beneficiaries.
*Monthly monitoring report on allocated resources and the status of POGs in the CROP system.
*Reports on follow-up visits to areas and organizations, with recommendations for improving strategy implementation.
*Monthly reports on indicators of the Social Capital strategy.
*Monthly reports on actions developed, delivered to regional management and national area coordination.
*Social Capital Manuals developed and validated.
*Lessons learned report with key findings and recommendations for continuous improvement.
*Documented case studies and success stories that highlight the life changes experienced by beneficiary populations.
*Reports on systematization processes and studies conducted, with proposals for external dissemination of results and lessons learned.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
• University degree in Social Work, Psychology, Pedagogy, Sociology, Social Sciences, Local Development, or related fields.
• At least 5 years of proven experience in local development, rural development, organizational management methodologies, gender and youth, organizational development, business support (associations, cooperatives, commercial companies), development of methodological scripts, and group integration days.
• Experience in organizations related to livestock and beekeeping will be valued.
• Knowledge and experience in knowledge transfer methods (team buildings, productive farms, model farms, field days, workshops, collaborative learning, etc.).
• Experience with business organizations in the social and commercial sectors.
• Experience in gender issues, especially in the economic empowerment of women and youth, with a focus on generational integration and promoting a sense of belonging.
• Experience in developing internal regulations and bylaws and supporting business advisors in their implementation.
•Experience working with key stakeholders, such as sectoral or donor committees.
•Experience training diverse groups (women, youth, small farmers).
•Experience monitoring and tracking programmatic actions.
•Management of data management systems.
SKILLS AND COMPETENCES:
•Results-oriented and capable of efficient management.
•High sense of responsibility and commitment to project objectives.
•Practical knowledge of driving standard vehicles.
