Job Summary Job Summary Garces High School is seeking a dedicated and passionate High School English Teacher to join our dynamic faculty. The ideal candidate will hold at least a Bachelor’s degree in English or a related field, and we strongly prefer candidates with a teaching credential or Master’s degree. The successful candidate will have a genuine enthusiasm for teaching high school students, a strong command of English language and literature, and the ability to create an engaging and inclusive classroom environment. Responsibilities: 1. Develop and implement lesson plans that align with the school’s curriculum and educational standards. 2. Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes active student participation and critical thinking. 3. Provide constructive feedback to students and assess their progress through various evaluation methods. 4. Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the overall English department and school curriculum. 5. Participate in school-wide events, professional development opportunities, and parent-teacher conferences. 6. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student performance, attendance, and other relevant information. Qualifications: 1. Bachelor’s degree in English or a related field (Teaching credential or Master’s degree preferred). 2. Prior experience in teaching high school English is advantageous. 3. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. 4. Knowledge of effective teaching strategies and educational technology. 5. Commitment to creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
