HISTORY TEACHING FELLOW, BU Academy

Boston University Academy is seeking a full-time history Teaching Fellow to begin in July 2025. Teaching fellowships are generally two-year positions and offer relatively new teachers opportunities for experience, mentorship, and professional growth. Teaching fellows teach a reduced course load. Primary responsibilities for this position will include teaching two sections of history; we have some flexibility in terms of content area and will look to match the course with the teaching fellow’s background and interest. The teaching fellow will assist with the Writing Center and contribute to other aspects of independent school life. These may include coordinating service learning, advising senior theses, leading clubs and activities, chaperoning trips, and possibly coaching. The fellowship features opportunities to observe other teachers, be observed, discuss teaching practice, and potentially engage in graduate work at BU – taking advantage of the University’s generous tuition remission policy. The teaching fellow reports to the Associate Head of School.
