Under the close supervision and guidance of the HR Officer (RAS), the HR Associate (RAS) provides administrative, procedural and operational support and assistance to the efficient implementation of recruitment services for all categories of staff in the office, ensuring accurate and timely delivery that is in compliance with UNICEF HR rules and regulations.
Support in recruitment:
- The HR Associate (RAS) is required to make input into the design and development of improved services and delivery processes and expected to work with a high degree of operational independence.
- Responsible for service delivery to designated client groups within the expected SLAs with accuracy and high-quality standards.
- Prepares vacancy announcements in UNICEF’s Talent Management System, circulates internal and external advertisements.
- Liaises with HR Business Partners and Hiring Managers along the recruitment process.
- Focal point for candidates in the various stages of the recruitment process.
- Monitors the life cycle of the recruitment process.
- Pre-screens candidates against minimum criteria and eligibility.
- Assigns status, adds comments to all reviewed candidates.
- Quality checks longlists.
- Arranges and organizes online assessments.
- Shares system generated online assessment results with HR Business Partners and Hiring Managers.
- Coordinates interview arrangements.
- Informs unsuccessful candidates by sending timely system notifications.
- Maintains talent pools.
- Keeps abreast of recruitment related policies and procedures.
- Escalates non-compliance to the HR Officer.
- Liaises with GSSC HR Admin Onboarding as necessary.
- Specific work conditions: The HR Associate (RAS) is expected to work shift-based, accommodating the time zone of the respective Region.

Minimum requirements:
Education:
- Completion of secondary education, preferably supplemented by technical or university courses related to the work of the organization.
Work Experience:
- A minimum of 6 years of progressively responsible work experience in HR Administration or other relevant clerical field, including a minimum of one year of dedicated recruitment experience, is required. A completed university degree from an accredited institution will be counted towards the work experience requirements by three years, and a relevant master’s degree may replace an additional two years.
Skills:
- Advanced computer literacy and the ability to effectively use standard office software tools (MS Office, Enterprise database) and other office technology to create documentation, exchange and archive e-mail, and maintain electronic filing systems.
- Excellent communication skills, multitasking and result driven as well as ability to manage competing priorities, are required.
Language Requirements:
- Fluency in English is required.
