HUMAN RESOURCES ASSOCIATE – reports to the assigned human resources designate.

Responsibilities

Provides substantive support in the management of varied HR functions from the planning phase until staff separation, including recruitment, onboarding, contract management, entitlements, movements and records, payroll, staff development and training, performance management, organizational design, compensation, HR policies, group medical insurance, workforce planning and other HR activities as may be assigned, ensuring compliance with the applicable (Area, International, etc.) Staff Regulations and Rules, Personnel Directives and other instructions. – Enters and reviews data and transactions related to HR services in various Human Resources Information systems (i.e., ERP, HR Dashboards, eLeave, ePer, etc.) including supporting system improvements, configuration updates, and implementations; checks discrepancies and coordinates with other staff members as necessary for resolution; responsible for monitoring and reporting on HR statistics, monitors data entry and provides initial approval thereof.

  • Develops, maintains, and updates the relevant databases or spreadsheets and contributes to its design, as and when required; prepares, consolidates and updates relevant statistical reports as requested; monitors various records, forms and tables for accuracy and brings to the attention of the supervisor any issues that may have negative impact.
  • Assists in the day-to-day operations of recruitment services and activities, whether preparing Job Openings, screening of applicants, inviting for tests and interviews or participating in interviews as HR ex-officio; coordinates and follows up on all administrative arrangements including archiving, support in the applicable e-recruitment system and preparing statistical reports, among others.
  • Researches, extracts relevant facts, background information and practices; analyses and presents information with recommendations which can influence the quality of development and performance of other HR actions; prepares summaries in respect of various types of personnel cases; and support ad hoc HR projects.
  • Responds, and drafts responses, to a wide range of correspondences, queries and other communications as assigned by the supervisor, uses standard word processing packages to produce a wide variety of documents and reports.
  • Coordinates with other Units within the Department or with other Departments, in relation to HR functions; prepares regular and ad-hoc reports, including basic translation from Arabic to English and vice versa, as and when required.
  • Performs office management and administrative functions in support of the designated Division/Section/Unit, as applicable, inter alia, supporting the preparation of budget, monitoring expenditures, ordering supplies and other procurement activities, initiating actions on HR information management system, as applicable.
  • Performs other duties as may be assigned by the supervisor.

Education

  • A university degree from an accredited educational institution in human resources, business, or public administration, management, or a related discipline.

Work Experience

  • A university degree from an accredited educational institution in human resources, business, or public administration, management, or a related discipline is required .
  • At least two years of relevant experience in the application of the knowledge acquired in human resources management in governmental, international or medium/large commercial organization, including where applicable, relevant experience in recruitment is required . Experience and knowledge of standard computer applications, HR systems, Dashboards and MS Excel is required .
  • Good command of spoken and written English and Arabic is required . Experience with HR Information Systems such as SAP and Dashboards is desirable . Are you currently residing in Duty station. Please specify your current location. It is required.
