Key Responsibilities: • Leadership and Coordination: Guide a team of experienced staff and volunteers in implementing humanitarian projects, including food distribution, youth or educational support, and infrastructure rebuilding. • Program Implementation: Ensure timely, effective, and culturally sensitive delivery of aid and services aligned with AFSC’s principles and the needs of the local population. • Engagement and Representation: Act as the primary liaison with local communities, stakeholders, and partners, embodying the Quaker commitment to peace, justice, and the inherent worth of every individual. • Wellness Support: Provide space and support to Gaza team, creating space for them to recover from the exhaustive demands of prior relief efforts
Qualifications: • Humanitarian Expertise: At least 15-20 years of experience in humanitarian aid, disaster relief, or community development. • Language Proficiency: Fluency in Arabic preferred. Familiarity with the cultural and social landscape of Gaza required. • Alignment with AFSC Values: A strong commitment to nonviolence, equality, and the Quaker principles of justice and peace. • Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead diverse teams in challenging environments, with a focus on empathy, resilience, and collaboration. • Operational Knowledge: Familiarity with AFSC’s history and methodologies,
