JOB DESCRIPTION

Position: Driver and Logistics Assistant

Contract: 3-year renewable contract Location: Abuja

Closing Date: 20 October 2025

DUTIES:

Drive IITA vehicles within and outside the duty station to transport personnel and materials, including field assignments, meetings, or other activities.

Record and maintain logbooks: mileage, fuel consumption, maintenance history, etc.

Perform routine maintenance checks (oil, tires, lights, etc.) and report mechanical issues early to ensure timely servicing.

Keep vehicle clean (inside and outside), ensure documents (registration, insurance, licensing) are updated.

Support field operations: assist with loading/unloading cargo, guiding when needed, helping with logistics as required.

Support field operations: accompany experts to training/meetings, collect data, deliver materials, act as lead/guide when needed.

Handle logistics tasks: e.g., receiving visitors (airport pickups/airport drop offs), delivering messages, ensuring essential materials are delivered, coordinating with transport/maintenance units.

Perform any other duties as may be assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements

QUALIFICATION:

National Diploma with minimum of (6) years’ experience in Business administration and other related courses, performing a similar role in a well-structured environment. Possession of a valid Driver’s license is required.
