  • Serve as Human Intelligence (HUMINT) Action Officer, Army HUMINT Operations Center (AHOC), G2X, US Army Intelligence and Security Command (INSCOM), Fort Belvoir, VA
  • Provide HUMINT subject matter expertise based on previous HUMINT operational and HUMINT oversight experience.
  • Assess HUMINT operational compliance with applicable HUMINT policies, doctrine, and best practices.
  • Create written communications to senior HUMINT and Army leadership concerning complex HUMINT operations and programs.

RequirementsConditions of Employment

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Two year trial/probationary period may be required.
  • In accordance with Change 3 to AR 600-85, Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Program, individual must successfully pass a urinalysis screening for illegal drug use prior to appointment and periodically thereafter.
  • Must be willing to undergo and successfully complete a counterintelligence-scope polygraph examination with No Deception Indicated (NDI) on a pre-appointment and periodic basis.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a TOP SECRET (TS) security clearance with eligibility for Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) based on a T5 (or equivalent) investigation.
  • Requires Temporary Duty (TDY) travel up to 25% of the time.
  • All INSCOM employees may be subject to extended TDY or worldwide deployments during crisis situations to perform mission essential functions as determined by management.
  • Must be a graduate from one of the advanced HUMINT training courses as identified in AR 381-100, such as the Defense Advanced Tradecraft Course (DATC), the Advanced Source Operations Course (ASOC) or a DOD-recognized and accredited equivalent course.

Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience.To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job. Specialized experience is defined as experience with HUMINT directly related to intelligence staff management. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GG/GS-12).Progressively responsible experience is that which has included intelligence-related research, analysis, collections and /or operations. This experience should have included intelligence analysis and/or production, intelligence collection and/or operations, counterintelligence, or insider threat support directly related to the position to be filled. This experience should demonstrate: Knowledge of intelligence processes, intelligence cycle and intelligence/counterintelligence organizations; Knowledge of and ability to use data mining tools to track and produce statistical products and assessments; Knowledge of the systems, procedures and methods of analyzing, compiling, reporting and disseminating intelligence data; and/or Knowledge of organization(s) for and methods of collecting and analyzing intelligence data.You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas:
