UNICEF in Vientiane, Lao PDR is looking for a International Consultancy for Nutrition Advocacy. The duration of this assignment is 12 months starting as soon as possible and The consultant will be working from the designated government office at the Socioeconomic Policy Research Institute (SPR, LASES, where she/he will be based for the duration of the assignment.
Summary of key functions/accountabilities:
The National Communication Consultant will be responsible for supporting UNICEF Lao PDR’s communication and advocacy work related to the Youth Development portfolio. Specifically, the consultant will work under the guidance and supervision of the Communication Specialist to coordinate and implement UNICEF Lao PDR’s media and public relations activities, develop communication products such as speeches, and support in the coordination of Youth Development programmes.
Main Tasks and Responsibilities:
The Consultant shall be based in Laos at Socioeconomic Policy Research Institute (SPR, Lao Academy of Social and Economic Sciences (LASEwith frequent travel to provincial level. She/he supports various streams of work at the Policy Analysis Unit (PA, hosted by the SPRI, LASES. The consultant will work closely with the Data Analysis Unit (DAhosted by the Development Research Institute (DR, Ministry of Planning and Investment (MPand the UNICEF Nutrition team. This shall include the following:
Undertake other relevant tasks to support the work of the Policy Analysis Unit (PAas requested by the Head of the PAU and the UNICEF nutrition team. |

The maximum number of points shall be allotted to the lowest Financial Proposal that is opened /evaluated and compared among those technical qualified candidates who have attained a minimum 50 points score in the technical evaluation. Other Financial Proposals will receive points in inverse proportion to the lowest price.
The Contract shall be awarded to the candidate obtaining the highest combined technical and financial scores, subject to the satisfactory result of the verification interview.
