Job Title: J2EE WebSphere DeveloperLocation: RemoteWe are currently seeking candidates who meet the following qualifications:Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and deploy J2EE applications using IBM WebSphere Application Server.
  • Work on WebSphere Integration with other systems, databases, and services.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code for applications in Java, JSP, Servlets, EJB, and JDBC.
  • Implement business logic, service integration, and data storage solutions in line with client requirements.
  • Perform unit testing, debugging, and code review to ensure quality and optimize performance.
  • Monitor and resolve performance bottlenecks within the WebSphere environment.
  • Assist in setting up WebSphere environments, including installation, configuration, and tuning.
  • Provide post-deployment support and maintenance to ensure system reliability and scalability.
  • Collaborate with team members, QA, and business analysts to meet project deadlines.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation for the developed code and systems.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Experience in J2EE development with expertise in WebSphere Application Server.
  • Strong proficiency in Java and J2EE technologies (EJB, JSP, Servlets, JDBC, JMS, etc.).
  • Hands-on experience with WebSphere Application Server (version [insert version] or higher).
  • Experience working with databases (e.g., Oracle, MySQL, DB2) and writing complex SQL queries.
  • Familiarity with Web Services (SOAP, REST) and XML/JSON.
  • Experience with version control systems like Git, SVN, or similar.
  • Proficient in Java development and WebSphere configuration.
  • Understanding of WebSphere security, performance tuning, and troubleshooting.
  • Knowledge of design patterns and best practices in enterprise-level application development.
  • Familiarity with J2EE frameworks such as Spring, Struts, or similar frameworks.
  • Experience with build tools like Maven, Ant, or Gradle.
  • Familiar with continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) practices.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and debugging skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience in IBM WebSphere Commerce and/or WebSphere MQ.
  • Knowledge of cloud technologies and experience in integrating WebSphere with cloud environments.
  • Certification in IBM WebSphere or related Java technologies.
  • Federal Experience is a plus.
  • Required Security clearance.
