Description and FunctionsOpen Until FilledGENERAL DESCRIPTION:Perform electrical work, including construction, remodel, repair, and preventative maintenance of electrical systems in The Wyoming Army National Guard facilities located in the Southeast quadrant (Cheyenne, Wheatland, Laramie, and Torrington), to include over 500,000 square feet of facility space under the direction of a Master Electrician.Human Resource Contact: Molly Skala/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: The listed functions are illustrative only and are not intended to describe every function which may be performed at the job level.
- Perform electrical inspection, troubleshooting, design, installation, alteration, and repair of main and branch circuits of interior and exterior electrical systems.
- Perform work on all phases of electrical distribution systems repairs and replacement of components on a large number of complex electronically and digitally controlled systems, both interior and exterior. Contacts outside vendors for parts, technical assistance repairs, and installations.
- Schedules tests makes repairs, and files reports to meet national fire alarm code standards and other Wyoming State authorities.
- Repair and replace power distribution panels, light fixtures, switches, receptacles, heating, and cooling motors, compressors, emergency generators, and electrical parts for HVAC systems, fire suppression systems, and electronic/digital controls.
- Calculates loads for electrical equipment and designs the installation to meet or exceed the national electric code and any requirements by the state of Wyoming.
- Develop preventive and predictive maintenance programs; assess conditions of system components to determine estimated useful life, suitability, efficiency, and repairs needed to meet industry norms.
- Assist with general construction activities including work on HVAC, carpentry, plumbing, and other skilled trades operations as directed.
- Maintain generators, transfer switches, and components of emergency systems.
QualificationsPREFERENCES/**AGENCY REQUIREMENTS:Preference may be given to applicants with a Journeyman Electrician License and three (3) or more years of electrical experience.** Required to obtain/maintain a Driver’s License

**Wyoming Journeyman Electrical LicenseKNOWLEDGE:
- Knowledge of National, State, and Local electrical codes.
- Knowledge of basic electrical, heating, and air conditioning.
- Knowledge of the application of electrical and other test equipment.
- Knowledge of basic construction and renovation standards, methods, and practices
- Employee may be subject to after-hours callback or reporting to work outside of their normally scheduled hours
