Shakespeare’s Globe is looking for a Junior Graphic Designer to join our Marketing team

Job Description

The Junior Graphic Designer will support the Design team in providing in-house design and artworking for the Audiences team and Shakespeare’s Globe as a whole, in order to promote and engage audiences with all aspects of the Globe’s activities.
The postholder will have solid experience of working in a Junior Graphic Designer role in an agency or in-house team. They will have a good level of competency in designing for both print and digital, and an excellent instinct for design. The role requires someone who is motivated to add value on a creative basis, but who would also be happy in a production heavy role.

Job Requirements

Previous solid experience as a junior graphic designer, working in an agency or in-house design team.

A relevant degree or post A-level qualification, e.g. in Graphic Design or Visual Communications.

Confident in Adobe Creative Cloud software packages: InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects and Acrobat. Experience with Figma.

A working knowledge of Adobe Animate and HTML5 banner ads would also be highly desirable (or if not, then a willingness to learn).

Ability to create engaging design concepts with strong layout and typographic abilities.

A portfolio with examples of work across digital and print, expressing excellent creative and technical ability and confidence in setting up print ready artwork.
