Personal Qualities

Main Responsibilities:

• To work with Teachers and Teaching Assistants as part of a professional team to support teaching and learning for an identified pupil(s).
• To provide high quality support to targeted groups of pupils to ensure outstanding progress.
• The primary focus will be to work under the professional direction of the class teacher and within an agreed system of supervision in delivering lessons set by or with a teacher to the identified pupil or groups of pupils.

Qualifications:

• Level 2 teaching assistant qualification or above
• GCSE in English and Maths to Grade C or above (or equivalent)
• Sound understanding of the Key Stage 1 Curriculum
