Languages: Lecturer in ESL

JOB DETAILS:

POSITION: A full-time fixed term renewable appointment in the Lecturer title series. The individual is expected to teach English as a Second Language (ESL) with an appointment in the Department of Languages in the Collegeof Arts and Sciences. The position will begin in the Spring 2025 semester with an initial appointment through the 2025-26 academic year. The appointment is expected to continue. The appointment begins January 2, 2025. Salary is commensurate with experience and qualifications. 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Masters in TESOL, applied linguistics, or other related field; familiarity with ESL curriculum; experience teaching in an ESL program; excellent interpersonal and cross-cultural communication skills.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: An ability to teach English composition or another language (e.g. Hmong) may be considered an asset.
