BASIC PURPOSE OF THE JOBResponsible for coordination and provision of psychological service to primary care clinics, including brief assessment relevant to the primary care setting, focused intervention on a variety of presenting concerns, effective communication with primary care team, and efficient documentation. May include supervision of psychology trainees.REPORTS TOVice President-Patient Care Services and Chief Medical OfficerJOB REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum Education

• Doctorate Required
• PhD or PsyD in psychology with appropriate focus on child, adolescent, or early development, including completion of an internship in an APA or CPA accredited psychology program
• Minimum Work Experience

• Post-doctoral fellowship in pediatric psychology or integrated healthcare is preferred. Prior pediatric experience required.
• Required Licenses/Certifications for position

• Licensed Psychologist

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to relate and effectively communicate with varying levels of staff.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Operational Excellence/Quality

• Delivers effective consultation-liaison services to primary care providers.
• Provides assessment and ongoing psychotherapeutic treatment to the primary care population being served.
• Participates in providing training and in-service education for East TN Children’s Hospital staff.
• Supervises and engages in clinical teaching with psychology trainees.
• Customer Service (internal and external)

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSLight lifting, pushing and pulling is required for 10-20 lbs occasionally and frequent moving of objects of less than 10 lbs is required. Frequent sitting with some walking, standing, squatting, bending and reaching is required.
