Lead Dental Receptionist (Lead CSR)

POSITION SUMMARY

The Lead CSR will provide support to the CSR IIs in all business aspects of the dental front desk in addition, he/she will be the liaison between the EIS department and the billing staff. He/she will be responsible for auditing charts daily and will float to other sites to provide training, guidance, and support to CSR’s.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Includes both the Level I, Level II, and Level III duties but not limited to the following: Level III (Lead CSR) Duties:

  • Orientation/training of new CSRs in conjunction with CSR IIs.
  • Create and maintain updated training manual for all CSRs.
  • Participate in monthly front desk meetings.
  • Supervises Dental CSRs as they complete assigned tasks. Observes phone etiquette and overall professionalism when communicating with patients. Encourages teamwork on shared duties such as answering phone calls, scanning, and scheduling appointments.
  • Assist Dental Practice Coordinator with ensuring that the practice’s policies and procedures are being adhered to.
  • Collect monthly office supply orders from all CSR II’s and mobile units and submit orders.
  • Oversee Insurance logbooks at all locations.
  • Work with Dental Practice Coordinator to assist other departments of LRMC with patient care/management.
  • Ensure all payments are posted in ECW for all locations. (Including offices and mobile units.)
  • Ensure that all charges have been entered in to the DMR accurately. Also, ensure that all encounters have been created accurately in the EMR and that they are locked by 12:00pm the next business day for all locations. (Including offices and mobile units.)
  • Monitor that all CSRs are adhering to their work schedule.
  • Work alongside Dental Practice Coordinator and Dental Practice Manager to develop and implement any new and/or ongoing team training.
  • With support from the Dental Practice Manager, the Lead CSR will be responsible for completing quarterly performance reviews of all CSR IIs and CSRs.
  • Manage work schedules for all CSRs, including approving leave time and ensuring a full staff in all locations.
  • Monitors and regulates use of leave time for CSRs.
  • Sends all billing actions to appropriate staff members.
  • Assist with translation of all necessary dental documents.
  • Review daily good faith estimate report to ensure estimates are complete and distribute any incomplete estimates to CSRs.
  • Attends all in-service training as required.
  • Always maintain patient confidentiality.
  • Maintains Center confidentiality and Code of Compliance per policy.
  • Travels to multiple locations as required.
  • Level I and Level II duties.
  • Perform CSR duties as needed.

  • Must be Fully Vaccinated against COVID-19.
  • EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
  • High School diploma or GED.
  • 5 years in Dental Customer Service preferred.
