The Role and the Department
The School of Education has an exciting opportunity for an administrator to join our Learning & Teaching (L&T) Administration team. Working under the director of the Learning & Teaching Manager, the post holder will join a team of four administrators to support student learning across Education programmes. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to gain experience in the area of teaching and learning support.
Based in the newly refurbished Confluence Building on the Lower Mountjoy site, the role offers the opportunity for hybrid working, with a minimum of three days per week office based. Alongside the small L&T team, the postholder will work closely with the wider Education PSS team and in particular the L&T Manager, L&T Coordinator and Student Support Officer.
The successful candidate will be able to no not only maintain, but also to develop and implement processes and systems to support the work of the School. Experience of administration in the education sector will be an advantage and candidates must possess exceptional organisational abilities and outstanding communication and customer service skills.

What you need to demonstrate when you apply
To be considered for this role, here are the skills/experience we’re looking for:
Qualifications/Experience
1. Five GCSE’s at least Grade C or level four (or equivalent) including English Language and Mathematics or equivalent experience.
2. Experience of working in a busy office environment delivering front line administrative services or having relevant qualifications for the role.
3. Experience of managing time to meet deadlines and working under pressure without compromising on quality.
Skills/Abilities/Knowledge
4. Good spoken and written communication skills.
5. Good digital skills including experience in using digital devices and apps including the internet, email, digital communication tools, Microsoft 365 applications, digital booking systems.
6. Committed to continuing professional development.
7. Ability to solve problems and resolve straightforward issues yourself and as part of a team.
8. Ability to provide advice and guidance to a range of colleagues and customers.
Desirable Criteria
1. Work outside of normal office hours during peak periods.
2. Experience of working in Higher Education.
3. Experience of working in a multicultural environment.
