Summary of Job Duties:
The Learning Technology Specialist is part of the Learning Technology Support team in Instructional Design and Support Services at Global Campus. The Learning Technology Specialist works collaboratively with team members and campus partners to support instructors with technology-enhanced courses and assist instructional designers in the development of online courses. The Learning Technology Specialist will work extensively in Blackboard Learn, our learning management system, as well as with all associated academic technology, such as Kaltura, VoiceThread, Gradescope, and Respondus. The position supports the Global Campus mission to create, provide, and support access to educational opportunities that advance Arkansas, shape the future, and build a better world.
Regular, reliable, and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others and participate in meetings and activities of the department. This position will be co-located at Global Campus and on the main Fayetteville campus, as part of the TIPS team.
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution of higher education or the equivalent combination of education and experience

Experience providing technical and procedural support to a diverse and professional clientele with various experience levels
Applicable equivalencies may be considered.
Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree or higher in Instructional Design, Information Technology, or Graphic Arts from an accredited institution of higher education

Experience troubleshooting the Blackboard learning management system (including content, tools, assessments, and grade center)
-
Demonstrated experience using and supporting learning technology tools such as Respondus, Kaltura, Zoom, Echo360, etc.

Understanding of Section 508 accessibility standards
-
Web design experience including HTML5 and CSS3
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
-
Effective communication (oral and written), interpersonal, and organizational skills
-
Ability to troubleshoot learning technologies such as learning management systems, lecture capturing tools, and videoconferencing tools
-
Ability to easily edit and troubleshoot based on HTML coding standards
-
Ability to quickly learn new software and technology, while consistently producing high-quality work and meeting tight deadlines
-
Ability to create multimedia files that comply with accessibility standards (including closed-captioning)

$40,000 – $43,000 (commensurate with education and experience)
