Other Conditions: Lecturer applicant pool for Spring 2025, contingent upon course offerings, student enrollment, and availability of funds. Teaching may involve face-to-face and distance learning (DL). Lecturers are required to teach in Hawaii. 

Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Teach assigned courses, including ENG 100, and ENG 100T.
  2. Hold a minimum of one office hour per week for each course taught.
  3. Develop and prepare course schedules, syllabi, and reports related to teaching and student progress.
  4. Perform other related tasks and duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  1. Master’s degree in English or closely related field from an accredited college or university.
  2. At least 3 years of demonstrated success teaching English Composition or Literature at an accredited university.

Desirable Qualifications: 

  1. Master’s degree in English or closely related field from a top-tier accredited college or university.
  2. Experience teaching in multiple modalities (e.g., online, in-person, hybrid).
  3. Experience working with diverse student populations and a commitment to developing skills in inclusive pedagogy.
  4. Evidence of excellence in college-level teaching.
