To support this work, the Law School is seeking to recruit a new Lecturer in Academic English to join its highly successful Sino-UK collaborative partnership with Southwest University of Political Sciences and Law (SWUPL) in Chongqing, China. The successful candidate will design, deliver and assess a variety of English language modules for academic purposes, and will prepare students for their progression to Coventry Law School.

The post will be based in Chongqing, China.

Role Purpose:

The successful candidate will have a growing reputation in a combination of teaching and/or scholarship, along with a good understanding of course management and administration in their own area. Role holders will contribute the continual enhancement of the student experience and the activity, knowledge and values required for internationalising Higher Education. 

Person Specification:

  • Some teaching experience at higher education level with evidence of successful student learning outcomes
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including teamwork
  • Previous experience teaching English for Academic Purposes to a Chinese audience would be advantageous.
