Lyth Arts Centre Interim Director (Maternity Cover)

This is a part-time, Director-level role, focused on organisational stability, governance, fundraising oversight and maintaining strong relationships with funders, partners and the Board. The Interim Director will work alongside an experienced and collaborative team, supporting continuity and organisational development.

The role is not delivery-heavy. Many programmes are already planned through to 2027, and this post is designed to keep the organisation steady, confident and well-supported during an interim period, whilst upholding LAC’s values, culture and ways of working.

Key Information:

Job Title: Interim Director (Maternity Cover)

Responsible To: Board of Directors

Salary: £35,000 – £39,000 per annum, pro rata (dependent on experience)

Hours: Part time 21 hours / 3 days per week

Location: Caithness (remote working considered, with monthly visits to Caithness)

Contract type: 9 – 12 months (maternity cover)

Pension: 3%

Probationary period: 3 months

Notice period: 3 months

Annual Leave: 22 days including bank holidays

Start Date: early – mid April 2026
