TI Corp is a Crown Corporation that has a mandate to deliver $9.3 Billion in major infrastructure on of the BC Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure and the Ministry of Tourism, Arts, Culture and Sport.

Overview

TI Corp is recruiting for an energetic and experienced communications professional with an understanding of organizational behaviour, to work with our Human Resources team to develop, implement and grow an engaging and effective internal communications strategy. This position’s primary responsibility is to centralize and streamline internal information sharing that focuses on building a strong culture of employee engagement and collaboration based on our Mission, Vision and Values.

This role is an integral part of the Human Resources team and provides a unique and exciting opportunity to work closely with executive and senior leaders to create an integrated, thoughtful, and influential internal communications program for a dynamic and fast-growing organization.

Profile

The Manager, Internal Communications will develop and implement an organizational strategy for internal communication and engagement, leveraging TI Corp’s Vision, Mission and Values to share information in a variety of formats – through our intranet, LinkedIn, emails, presentations, etc. – and ensure relevant, timely, consistent, and clear information is available and actively accessed by employees.

Key Accountabilities

  • Develops, recommends and implements an organization wide internal communications plan aligned with the organization’s internal engagement, retention and communications’ strategies.
  • Works closely with executive, senior leaders and employees to ensure a comprehensive understanding of and alignment with the organization’s Vision, Mission and Values.
  • Develops and provides strategic communications advice to support the organization’s strategic vision, service plan, mandate, and culture initiatives.
  • Develops and provides timely, thoughtful, and strategic communication materials for a range of change initiatives throughout the organization.
  • Actively seeks opportunities to work with key internal stakeholders to share information, using multifaceted communication approaches to maintain and improve engagement, learning, and provision of information.
  • Proactively identifies topics, activities, programs, and successes from an organization-wide perspective that require communication and advises and develops materials accordingly.
  • Provides advice on the interpretation and application of internal communications best practices and approaches for optimizing change and engagement, helping to develop managers as effective communicators
  • Champions employee engagement activities and forums and provides advice and support at the organizational and individual departmental level
  • Develops, maintains, and regularly reviews professional quality communication materials including TI Corp Intranet, executive emails, events, all-staff meetings etc.
  • Oversees, improves, and regularly reviews our recruitment platforms, creating a brand that represents TI Corp and draws top talent.
  • Assesses analytics and data to summarize information that help measure the effectiveness of internal communications

Qualifications

  • Degree in Communications, Public Relations, Human Resources, Business Administration or Public Administration and a minimum of 5 years experience providing advisory services in the communication field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience communicating business objectives, change management and culture development initiatives.
  • Experience developing and writing corporate communication plans, strategic plans and/or other plans.
  • Knowledge of communications principles and practices.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to handle information with confidentiality.
  • Ability to take initiative, prioritize work, and multi-task with a high level of attention to detail.
  • Ability to facilitate collaborative solutions.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently.
