Market Access & Sustainability Lead (Pharma) 

POSITION PURPOSE:

The role owns Market Access initiatives, Government relations and Sustainability Projects for South Asia region for Bayer Pharmaceuticals, with special focus on our WHC portfolio partnerships for various Family planning projects.

YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Lead development of reimbursement strategy for key products, value proposition and all supporting data/messages to accelerate market access. Strengthen government stakeholder engagement and shape policy via building strategic partnerships
• Monitoring, analyzing, and reporting on government policy and legislation. Identifying emerging policy/regulatory trends, developing issues and position papers for presentation to business leadership
• Lead implementation of market access strategy in collaboration with Global functions, Local sales and marketing, and GA&MA teams
• Establish strong processes for executing government tenders, as well as other supply and pricing contracts. Ensure compliance with all tender requirements and deadlines
• Identify and establish stakeholder connect with supranational organizations, local foundations, educational institutes relevant to family planning and development for India, Nepal, Bangladesh
• Analyze market access and procurement trends and health policy changes to stay informed about the evolving landscape. Continuously map Central and State Government requirements to anticipate access barriers and cost containment risks

WHO YOU ARE:

• Bachelor’s degree in science. Post graduate degree or MBA will be an advantage
• Minimum 15 to 20 years of successful Pharmaceutical Industry experience, of which alteast 8-10 years’ experience in Market Access/ Government Affairs / Key Account function. Successful track record of leading Market Access and Government Affairs function for India is preferred
• Should have high level of customer centricity and drive for outcomes along with Interpersonal and relationship management skills
