Under the general supervision and leadership of the NOB – Database Officer will be in charge of the donors’ database management and the data security plan in compliance with UNICEF rules and industry practices and ready to support DM marketing campaigns implementation in a cost-efficient and secure way.
Key functions, accountabilities and related duties/tasks:
- Generate a complete system of periodic reports with updated information to support decision making in the individuals fundraising operation.
- Database security and confidentiality procedures, directives and instructions effectively established in concordance with the organization guidelines and regulations
- Provide help, support and assist with capacity building and knowledge management
- Ensure that administrative tasks and responsibilities are effectively carried out and delivered.
- Monitoring providers practices and industry trends

Minimum requirements:
- Education: Completion of secondary education is required, preferably supplemented by technical or university courses related to the field of work.
Skills:
Knowledgeable of the following topics is required:
- Computer Skills: Fluent in MS SQL (DML and DDL), Python and core libraries to manipulate data (e.g.: Pandas), Power BI, Advanced MS Excel user (Graphics, Pivot Tables, Advanced Functions, Integration with other Databases sources, VBA, Macros and automation), MS Access. Tools: MS SQL Management Studio, MS Office, MS VBA. Visual Studio/Visual Code
Knowledgeable of the following topics is desirable:
- Database Knowledge: SSRS, MS SQL Report Builder, SQL Integration Services, Web Literacy: Knowledge of HTML and CSS, MS Visual Studio, STFP/FTP Clients, JavaScript, C#, Webhosting Administration (domains, TLS Certificates, MySQL and PostgreSQL Databases, Open-Source CMS), Web Services, API’s and CMS Avaya is an asset.
- Work Experience: A minimum of 6 years of relevant work experience in systems, database management, computer science, software engineering, information technology management, and/or any related field.
- Language Requirements: Fluency in Spanish and English required.
