Job Description
Reporting to the Senior Marketing Manager, the Marketing Officer works on the creation and delivery of dynamic and far-reaching marketing campaigns for The Weston Studio and other elements of our creative programme, plus fundraising and commercial activity.
The Weston Studio is Bristol Old Vic’s intimate, flexible performance space (approx. 120 capacity) which opened in 2018 to provide a home for new writing, cutting-edge visiting performances from the region and beyond and Bristol Old Vic’s Young Company work.
The post-holder also analyses the impact of campaigns to ensure we’re continually improving the return on investment of our marketing activity and achieving our audience development goals.
Job Requirements
ESSENTIAL
Proven experience in a marketing role and where income generation or customer development was a focus
Proven copywriting, editing and proofreading skills
Confidence in creating visual assets for use in campaign activity
Proven administrative, organisational and time-management skills
Experience using the marketing functionality of a ticketing system
Experience using website content management systems and email marketing software
High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
A supportive, flexible, reliable, committed, collaborative and compassionate team member
Computer literacy on Microsoft 365
A passion for and interest in arts and culture
DESIRABLE
Previous theatre/arts marketing experience
Understanding of and commitment to making theatre and the arts accessible to all
Experience using Spektrix, and using Craft, CMS (or WordPress which is very similar)
Experience in creating digital assets either through Canva or Adobe Creative Suite – Photoshop, InDesign, Premiere Pro.
