Marketing Specialist – Disaster Relief

Development Integration – Remote (U.S. Based)

Operation Blessing (OB) is looking for a talented Marketing Specialist to develop and execute strategic fundraising campaigns and results-driven donor retention journeys primarily for disaster relief efforts, incorporating compelling content creation and effective communication strategies to inspire and engage donors. This role demands a proactive individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment where meeting deadlines is crucial.

The successful candidate will have the following qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in digital marketing
  • Knowledge of internet content development for email, website, social media, and other digital platforms
  • Excellent project management, follow-up, and organization skills (Asana experience, a plus)
  • Experience with digital platforms such as social media and crowdfunding or donation platforms (GiveSmart, Classy, etc.)
  • Familiarity with WordPress or other website platforms
  • Strong understanding of SEO (search engine optimization)
  • Working knowledge of crowdfunding and peer-to-peer fundraising software/platforms
  • Strong writing, editing, research, and proofreading skills
  • Excellent computer skills in Microsoft Office and related software; proficiency with Canva or Adobe Creative Suite is a plus
  • Strong understanding of customer segmentation and targeting along with customer lifecycles
  • Highly proficient in analyzing campaign performance, provide actionable insights, and driving continuous improvements to email performance
  • Fluency with template development, targeting, and personalization
  • Knowledge of best practices, strategies, and industry standards related to digital marketing
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced organization with high attention to detail
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Strong time management and organizational skills with the ability to multi-task
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to establish rapport with all levels of management, staff, and outside public
  • Flexible with the ability to work under pressure and consistently meet deadlines
