We’re hiring a Medic/Medical Assistant at our Sierra Ridge Campus in San Andreas, CA, an affiliate of Rite of Passage. The Medic/Medical Assistant works as a staff member of the Student Services team. Primarily responsible for serving as an assistant to the entire Student Health Services Department. Coordinates the flow of students to be seen by the health care professionals within program and the scheduling of students to be seen by outside health care professionals.

Essential Functions:

  • Performs daily sick calls as referred by group living staff and maintains daily log.

  • Treats all injuries, medical conditions and provides basic first aid within the scope of training.

  • Provides first aid and/or life support in the event of an emergency.

  • Ensures all prescription medication is self-administered and documents administration and completion of any prescription medication.

  • Ensures all life support equipment and supplies are available and in good working order.

  • Advises the appropriate parties of developing or existing medical conditions.

  • Informs the Supervisor of any irregular medical occurrences.

  • Completes Medical Incident Reports and communicates in a timely manner.

To be considered, you should:

  • Have a High School diploma or equivalent and a Certification or Diploma for Medical Assistant.

  • Current state Emergency Medical Technician Certification, CNA Certification, or Medical Assistant Certification

  • Certification of CPR and First Aid

  • Possess a current State Driver’s License and have an acceptable driving record for the past three (3) years.

  • Be able to pass a criminal background clearance check, drug screen, physical, and TB test.
