Medical Advisor / Junior Medical Affairs Manager

to be located in our affiliate in Milan

Position Purpose:

The incumbent is accountable for the medical strategy and deliverables (i.e advisory boards/expert meetings, symposia, publications plan, clinical studies, RWE studies). He/She* will participate in planning and implementation of clinical trial plans within the country and manage and monitor local studies.

The position holder will provide support to external customers and to internal staff (sales, marketing and market access, particularly) ensuring the accuracy and quality of scientific information (i.e. trainings, hospital meetings, …)

In addition he/she* will provide support in developing strategic plans for the company’s product portfolio.

Main Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

• Lead on medical affairs initiatives.
• Manage scientific relations with national and international experts.
• Support the commercial activities of CSL Behring SpA from scientific and technical perspective, trying to satisfy customer needs.
• Maintain high level scientific and technical knowledge through continuous development within the assigned Therapeutic Areas.
• Support Company branding while participating at national and international congresses/events.
• Liaises with medical staff in CSL Behring subsidiaries, Centers of Excellence, Central R&D Offices to ensure that local activities are in line with the international framework and drive scientific and patients focused values.
• Manage local studies (IIS and CSS) within the country and multi-countries, as needed. 
• Drive local evidence plan based on local gaps and needs.
• Prepare all docs needed to launch a new trial, or to support an IIS, both in paper and electronic format.
• Ensure proper and timely implementation of studies in the area according to local procedures and regulations in place, including procedures and docs for centers opening and closing.
• Manage deadlines and work plans of ongoing trials.
• Ensure support to the CRO involved in the trials.
• Follow up IIS support programs.
• Realize bibliography research and manage the related docs archive.
• Provide continuous scientific information and training to Sales, Marketing and Market access colleagues regarding studies and products.
• Provide technical and scientific info required by physicians.
• Contribute, in collaboration with the Market Access, Marketing and Sales, to set up the proper training program for each sales forces meeting.
• Elaborate training material and present them to the commercial team.
• Prepare and collect the training outcome documentation.
• Hospital Meeting presentations: prepare scientific presentations for Hospital Meetings.

Position Qualifications and Experience Requirements:

• Scientific degree.
• Preferably Medical degree as Medical Doctor or qualified with a higher medical degree/diploma.
• At least 2 years’ experience in medical affairs (desirable).
• Competencies in Hematology /Thrombosis/Immunology preferred.
• Knowledge of local processes and regulations around clinical trials and pharma code.
• Knowledge of MS OFFICE.
• Elevated Communication and presentation skills.
• Fluency in English.
• Ability to work with a high level of autonomy.
• Easy relationship management.
