Overview:Medical Assistant – UrologyLocation: Quincy, IL
Pay Range: $16.12 – $24.18 per hour | Based on Relevant Experience
Schedule: Full-time, Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. (some variability based on departmental needs)About the Role:Join our Urology team as a Medical Assistant and play a key role in delivering specialized patient care. In this position, you’ll support providers and patients with clinical and administrative tasks unique to the urology field. From assisting with procedures to providing patient education, you’ll help ensure a smooth workflow and a positive patient experience. This role is ideal for candidates eager to grow their skills and make a meaningful impact in a focused specialty area.Primary Responsibilities:

• Escort patients to examination rooms, prepare them for urological procedures, and record accurate vital signs and medical history.
• Assist providers during specialized urology exams, including procedures such as catheterization and bladder scans.
• Coordinate referral appointments, diagnostic testing, medication refills, and other patient care needs.
• Communicate test results and follow-up instructions to patients, ensuring clarity and understanding.
• Manage incoming and outgoing patient communications, including scheduling appointments and addressing inquiries.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of urology-specific medical equipment and exam rooms.
• Educate patients about urology procedures, treatment plans, and lifestyle recommendations to support their care journey.
• Perform other duties as needed to contribute to clinic operations.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required.
• CPR certification required (available upon hire).
• Medical Assistant certification preferred.
• 1-2 years of clinical experience as a CNA, PCA, or MA preferred but not required.
• Willingness to learn medical terminology and expand knowledge in the urology specialty.
