Medical Director

Oakwood Animal Hospital is seeking a Medical Director/Managing Veterinarian to lead our small animal practice in Tallahassee, FL. Our three-doctor practice has all you need to practice the best medicine – our hospital is equipped with in-house labs, digital dental and survey radiography, new surgical monitoring equipment and warming units to name a few. 

Oakwood Animal Hospital is a supportive environment for our doctors. We support your clinical interests and welcome adding new therapies, new medications, and new equipment to stay current. Our ideal candidate is an experienced Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM, VMD or equivalent) with a passion for mentoring, a servant leadership style, and collaborative approach. We offer high quality medicine and are the standard of care in our area. We are seeking a candidate interested in being a leader in veterinary medicine and committed to continuing to progress the hospital.

Here’s how you will make an impact:

• Provide excellent GP care, including surgeries, and build strong client relationships
• Partner with Hospital Manager to manage hospital operations, budget, production, and growth.
• Lead progressive hospitals projects such as advancing documentation, equipment, services and medical protocols.
• Communicate with the team through leading meetings, mentorship, and one-on-one meetings
• Provide ongoing mentorship and clinical guidance to doctors and staff
