Job Summary:
The Medical Director of Inpatient and Outpatient BMT Services will be an integral member of the Division of Hematology, Oncology, Bone Marrow Transplant – Cellular Therapies At Children’s Hospital Colorado, contributing to the institution’s mission of providing exceptional patient care, education, research and advocacy. This position is responsible for providing clinical leadership and strategic direction for the Blood and Marrow Transplantation (BMT) program.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide clinical leadership and assist with strategic direction for the clinical BMT and cellular therapy program, including inpatient and outpatient services.
- Manage operational issues coordinating inpatient and outpatient BMT-CT service.
- Partner with the Quality Manager to develop and implement clinical programs that enhance the quality of care and improve patient outcomes.
- Provide direct patient care to patients with blood and marrow disorders amendable to hematopoietic stem cell transplantation and cellular therapy technologies.
- Oversee clinical research initiatives and clinical trials related to BMT and cellular therapy.
- Oversee the BMT Advance Practice Provider (APP) team and ensure that all team members are working to scope.

Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.
Associate Professor:
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO); must be board certified/eligible in Pediatric Hematology/Oncology.
- Continuous Maintenance of Certification is required.
- Active Colorado state license and DEA certification, or ability to obtain prior to employment
- Training and expertise in pediatric Oncology in Bone Marrow Transplantation.
- Minimum 6 years of professional experience in a clinical setting.
- Meet all Children’s Hospital Colorado credentialing requirements and continuous active medical staff status.
Professor:
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO); must be board certified/eligible in Pediatric Hematology/Oncology.
- Continuous Maintenance of Certification is required.
- Active Colorado state license and DEA certification, or ability to obtain prior to employment
- Training and expertise in pediatric Bone Marrow Transplantation.
- Minimum 10 years of professional experience in clinical setting.
- Meet all Children’s Hospital Colorado credentialing requirements and continuous active medical staff status.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience in informatics and strong Epic knowledge.
- Clinical Trial leadership at the consortium or national level.
- Five or more years of active pediatric BMT-CT practice.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals.
- Commitment to teaching and mentoring medical students, residents, and fellows.

Anticipated Pay Range:
The starting hiring range for this position has been established at:
- Associate Professor: $235,000 – $270,000
- Professor: $315,000 – $325,000
The above hiring range represents the University’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. This position is not eligible for overtime compensation unless it is non-exempt.
