Our mission

Ezra’s mission is to enable early cancer detection for everyone by using Artificial Intelligence and the most advanced medical imaging technology available.

We believe in empowering people to make their own health decisions, so we are offering Ezra as a direct-to-consumer health membership, also recommended by Physicians to their patients . Once self or Physician booked, our members visit a partner imaging center to get a full-body MRI scan, and receive a cancer screening report from our Ezra Medical Provider within 7 days.

Our reports are generated by radiologists to quickly and accurately screen for potential abnormalities anywhere in the body. We’ve also built AI technology designed to assist radiologists in their analysis of MR images, and make MRI scans faster. We have multiple AIs cleared by the FDA and further in production. 

We have clinical research in progress in the USA which we plan to extend to the UK.

Your mission

As Medical Director, UK (you will work closely with the Ezra COO and US Medical team, and report into Ezra’s Chief Commercial Officer (based in London), to continuously improve our UK clinical processes – guidelines, protocols – to deliver the best experience for the Ezra member and their health and ensure compliance to UK medical standards and medicolegal regulations.

You will help hire, retain, and support the best medical provider team as Ezra expands its UK and expand its future international presence. This includes standardizing 1) onboarding and 2) continual training programs to deliver the most consistent and highest-quality Ezra member experience. You will set and monitor performance standards for the UK medical providers team and fairly and regularly evaluate them to support their personal and professional development.

You will assist the Ezra leadership team and R&D team in both developing and delivering on Ezra’s medium and long-term product goals. 

You will represent Ezra as a speaker at UK medical conferences and in UK media interviews. You will report to the Chief Commercial Officer and partner with the full-time US Medical Director. As the Ezra Medical Director – UK, you will:

• Ensure that our members receive the highest standard of medical care
• Balance the duties of a medical provider with those of an administrator/manager
• Monitor and optimize clinical performance
• Train, motivate, and oversee all Ezra medical providers, with travel as needed
• Ensure all UK healthcare regulations and safety standards are met
• Keep internal staff updated on new healthcare regulations
• Work with the Ezra R&D teams in building our product and AIs and create benchmarks for KPIs to measure the efficiency and quality of our medical team
• Work with the commercial team to onboard new Imaging Partners in London and then other relevant locations in the UK. 

Who you are

You are a board-certified internal medicine physician who cares deeply about helping people detect cancer early. You’re patient and human-centric, have a can-do attitude, and enjoy making people feel safe and special. You’re compassionate, friendly, personable, and a joy to be around.

You are familiar with working with Radiologists, Oncologists and ordering MRI & CT scans from Imaging Partners.

You have a fascination with preventative healthcare, an interest in new trends in AI, and an interest in human longevity.

You have a spectrum of medical interests and are interested in adding, in the first instance, a part-time involvement with a highly regarded AI-based Cancer Screening service.

Key requirements

• 0.5-1 day a week in the first instance, growing to 2 days a week within 12 months
• Medical degree from an accredited medical school in the UK
• Master of Health Administration (MHA) or Master of Business Administration (MBA) would be a plus
• Valid UK medical license
• 5+ years experience in general medicine (experience as a Radiologist is a plus)
• 2+ years of prior experience in a management role is a plus
• Clinical risk management experience
• Good organizational skills
