Make your mark:

  • Lead the Medical Excellence team and ensure its compliance to corporate requirements and processes on medical activities
  • Drive Medical Excellence Strategy & Strategic Initiatives on Affiliate level in accordance with global guidances
  • Lead the Affiliate Medical Excellence strategy to achieve best in class standards of ways we work are in place as well as lived amongst infield teams
  • Ensures German medical affairs team is successfully implementing and using medical ACE (Advance Customer Engagement)
  • By providing framework for capabilities, content and journeys/omnichannel that can be implemented per Therapeutic Area
  • By individually supporting TA during implementation process
  • Initiative and develop SMART outcome measures for medical excellence (beyond infield teams) to assess impact of medical strategies & tactics
  • Pro-actively shape global programs to meet local needs about but not limited to infield team excellence, omnichannel marketing, strategic planning, innovation, medical brand and learning Excellence and needed from the affiliate perspective
  • Initiate, drive and oversee projects and initiatives in close collaboration with CEX, BTS and the TA-specific teams to ensure optimal management and steer other activities with current SOPs and guidancesIaccording to local regulations
  • Budgeting and budget control for large local projects
  • Provide ongoing support, leadership, mentorship and development guidance to members of the medical staff, especially in project management and Medical Excellence
  • Support Medical Director by promptly providing accurate and reliable information to address any request on e.g. project status, etc. as may arise, promptly analyze and proactive report to Medical Director any situation that may impact the success of management or key projects
  • Initiate / manage strategic internal (cross-functional) projects to drive medical internal communication, rewards and innovation to support our medical affairs people management vision.
  • Build-up competence and support for medical affairs teams infield excellence.
  • Support strategic planning of medical affair.
  • Lead change processes

Qualifications

This is how you can make a difference:

  • Academic and/or professional scientific background with MD/PhD or other academic degree
  • General knowledge on drug development and clinical research
  • Advanced knowledge of Project Management
  • Ability to build and develop a team of specialists skills and talents
  • Ability to manage and work closely within a team in a matrix organization
  • Ability to think and plan strategically and to adopt an open-minded and creative approach to common challenges
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously at different locations, showing strong analytical competency and synthesising skills
  • Collaborative, team-oriented approach, able to develop and support relationships across an organization as well as with key external stakeholders at large.
  • Ability to deal with conflicting interests within a multifunctional team and the leadership skills to bring these interests together towards a common goal
  • Excellent written and spoken communication and presentation skills including communication formally and informally with top External Experts and other healthcare professionals Fluency in written and oral English
  • Computer and software knowledge including common office software programs as well as project management tools (e.g. Microsoft Projects or internal Project Management tools)
  • Familiarity with principles of financial management
  • Strong familiarity integrated brand planning approach within pharmaceutical industry
