Job Description
We are looking for an enthusiastic, skilled and reliable Musical Theatre After School Club Leader to join The Star Project Events. This is a specialist teaching role and requires strong ability in singing, dancing and acting, as well as confidence leading groups of primary aged children.
You will work with up to 30 children (ages 4-11) during term time to produce a high quality musical theatre performance for parents at the end of each term. This role is perfect for someone passionate about children’s performing arts, confident in classroom management, and excited to deliver engaging, structured sessions.
Applicants must have genuine musical theatre training or qualifications. Applications without this knowledge will not be accepted.
After school provisions run from 3.15pm-4.30pm every weekday and are paid at £40 per session. Other opportunities to earn are available during your time with us.
Job Requirements
Essential Requirements
Full UK Driving Licence (travel between schools required).
Enhanced DBS with Child Barred List Check.
Minimum 1 year’s experience teaching musical theatre to children.
Strong knowledge or qualifications in singing, dancing, acting – ideally all three.
Self sufficient, organised and reliable.
Confident managing groups of up to 30 primary aged children.
Able to commit to the role for at least 2 years.
Individuals currently auditioning cannot be considered, as we require consistent, reliable teachers for continuity.
