Job Description
You will assist us in fulfilling the school’s mission statement by actively participating in the delivery of a high-quality English Language & Literature program.
As a collaborative team member, you will partner with students, staff, and parents to achieve exceptional outcomes for our students. This involves implementing innovative teaching and learning strategies to improve student experiences and results. PROFESSIONAL AND PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT
- Fully participate in the school’s performance management procedures and appraisal through effective target setting and reflection using school-specified systems.

- Qualified Teacher Status with a minimum of two years of teaching experience.
- Possess a University Degree level or above qualification in English Literature.
- Have experience in teaching Key Stage 3/4 (11–16 years), specifically in the MYP curriculum.
- Demonstrate experience in delivering extracurricular activities and participating in externally run events to support student enrichment opportunities.
- Completion of IB Cat1/2 training for MYP First Language English is preferable but not essential.
- Desirable but not essential – experience of embedding and using Accelerated Reader to develop students’ love for reading.
- Desirable but not essential – experience of supporting a student-run publication (e.g., student magazine, podcast, etc.).
- Exhibit a strong track record of continuous professional development, showcasing a commitment to being a lifelong learner.
- Ability to demonstrate high-quality pastoral care experience that supports the growth and development of young people.
- Provide evidence of being an active collaborator, actively working with colleagues across subject boundaries to develop transferable skills in young people.
- Demonstrate a proven ability to innovate and adapt curricula to engage students.
- Possess strong proficiency in using technology to enhance teaching and learning, engaging learners to achieve quality educational experiences.
