WHAT YOU’LL DOUnder the general direction of the North America HR Immigration Director, you will be responsible for helping to coordinate and provide support for our U.S. & Canadian Immigration functions. You will work closely with the North America Immigration team, the North America Compliance team more broadly, local office HR teams, foreign nationals in need of immigration services, and external U.S. & Canadian immigration legal counsel.YOU’RE GOOD ATBuilding relationships – strong written and verbal communication skills are a must. Our team liaises with everyone from our entry level employees to senior leadership; this role requires you have a strong ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with members at all levels of the organization.Balancing a diverse set of work – you will manage many different processes with multiple steps and various deadlines. This role necessitates that you’re able to drive responsibilities autonomously and balance competing priorities.Attention to detail – the work we do is very important and requires a unique amount of thoughtful engagement and precision. Having an eye for accuracy and detail is key.YOU BRING (EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS)Experience in a fast-paced, intellectually-intense, service-oriented environment.A bachelor’s degree.4+ years of experience, with a solid understanding of U.S. immigration. Canadian immigration or global immigration experience preferredExperience in supporting complex immigration processes and projects, including helping to determine green card strategy through the entire PERM lifecycle; messaging immigration strategies to foreign nationals and stakeholdersSolid working knowledge of nonimmigrant employment-based U.S. immigration categories like H-1Bs, L-1s, TNs, and student work authorizationExperience working with Canadian immigration is preferred, including understanding different work permit categories and the Canadian permanent residency processFamiliarity with Workday preferredThe ability to perform successfully in a fast-paced, global, intellectually intense, service-oriented environment, keeping with BCG’s values and cultureYOU’LL WORK WITHYou’ll sit on our North America Immigration team with responsibilities across the U.S. and Canada. Our team was created over a decade ago but has doubled in size in just the last few years! The team is made up of seven individuals, sitting in Boston.ADDITIONAL INFORMATIONFORMAT:This role currently requires 3 days a week in office presence. This provides flexibility the remaining 40% of the work week. This hybrid work plan allows for critically important learning, collaboration and networking with our colleagues.
