Harborview is pleased to offer the Vizient/ AACN Nurse Residency Program (NRP). This is a national program focused on new graduate nurses as they enter practice. The evidence-based curriculum provides emphasis on leadership, patient safety outcomes, and professional development.

You will be well-supported as you transition from entry level to competent professional nurse. Orientation includes an extensive clinical preceptorship as well as classroom training. Monthly seminars are conducted during the first year of employment. The NRP prepares new graduates to successfully begin careers as confident nursing professionals. Launch your Registered Nurse career with Harborview Medical Center!

Harborview is an integral component within UW Medicine Health System. As the region’s only adult and pediatric level one trauma center and regional burn center; a renowned teaching and research environment; and a public/safety-net hospital for our diverse community, Harborview offers a rich learning environment.

The Operating Room at Harborview is also an area with regular residency openings (for specific interest in an Operating Room career, please apply to our separate Peri-op 101/OR Residency job posting, # 168546). Certain additional details apply to the OR specific residency program, including minimum three years length of commitment timeframe; see separate posting for particulars.
