Show Synopsis
What happens when love collides with growing pains, unspoken trauma, and the weight of cultural difference? A story unfolds-messy, intimate, and brutally honest.
Love Me Tomorrow is a sharp two-hander that moves between humour and heartbreak, following a couple whose relationship begins effortlessly but slowly unravels under the pressures of everyday life wine-stained receipts, passive-aggressive Netflix betrayals, and unresolved tensions rooted in different cultural upbringings.
As their worlds begin to pull in different directions, small disagreements take on deeper meaning, and compromise feels increasingly out of reach. The play asks: can love survive not just growing up, but growing apart?
Told across shifting timelines, it’s a love story for anyone who’s ever argued over something small – only to realise it was never about that at all.
Character Profile
Gender
This character is open to all genders.
Culture and Race
A significant aspect of A’s character is their cultural background. Much of the tension in the relationship comes from the couple’s differing upbringings and cultural values. It’s very important to us that the culture and lived experience of the actor playing A is reflected authentically within the play. We’re particularly keen to hear from actors from immigrant and/or global majority backgrounds who connect personally to these themes and experiences.
Background
A is a 26 y/o (mid-20s) sociopolitical artist whose work aims to address environmental issues, specifically in London. As a first generation immigrant, A moved to London with their family when they were 3 and has lived there ever since. A is the eldest of 4 siblings and does everything they can to support their family. In spite of their calm and gentle nature, A is a force to be reckoned with – they know their worth and are ready to protect their peace from anybody trying to interfere with their life.
Show run details
Love Me Tomorrow will be on at the Barons Court Theatre as a part of Camden Fringe from 22nd August – 25th August. We would be running rehearsals during July and August so actors would need to have significant availability (particularly from 10th – 25th August) during that time for rehearsals and prep.
Audition Process
There will be two rounds of auditions. In the first round, we’ll ask you to complete a Google Form, where you’ll answer a few questions, share your Spotlight link, and submit a short self-tape performing an extract from Love Me Tomorrow. Deadline is 23:59 21st June 2026.
If successful, you’ll then be invited to an in-person chemistry read with the actor playing Noah, taking place on either the 7th, 8th, or 9th of July. Please let us know on the form if any of these dates are not possible for you. Auditions will most likely take place in the evenings.
