Job Summary

Job Description

About the work

The R&D will be part of the development of Alethia’s first full-length group production Sis? (Working title) which aims to be a physical, emotive, intergenerational dance work which explores notions of sisterhood, and challenges colonial ideas of gender and race; highlighting the multiplicity of feminine blackness and the power of community.

The Placement Performer will join the R&D alongside the professional performers, and receive mentoring tailored to the individual’s development needs. Through this development opportunity, Alethia hopes the placement performer develops to a point where they can join the professional cast for the future creation and touring of Sis? (Working title).
