Teaching-Track Professor in Thermal-fluid Systems

The College of Engineering Architecture and Technology at Oklahoma State University is pleased to invite applications for a career-track faculty position at the Teaching Assistant Professor rank or higher in all areas of thermal-fluid systems engineering. Candidates with an interest in teaching and mentoring undergraduate students in a laboratory environment are encouraged to apply. A Ph.D. from an accredited engineering program with significant industrial and teaching experience is preferred, but candidates with an MS degree and exceptional work experience will be considered. Successful candidates must have demonstrated potential for developing interdisciplinary laboratory and design experiences at the undergraduate level. The position will be associated with Endeavor, the 72,000 square foot interdisciplinary College of Engineering Architecture and Technology (CEAT) undergraduate laboratory. Responsibilities include: (1) teaching fluid mechanics, thermodynamics and heat transfer laboratory classes (2) managing Endeavor’s thermal-fluid laboratories, (3) developing and leading interdisciplinary capstone design teams in the thermal-fluids area, (4) collaborating with CEAT department heads and faculty to develop new and relevant content for the thermal-fluid laboratories.

Oklahoma State University was established in 1890 as a comprehensive land grant university. Today with over 24,000 students on its Stillwater campus, the university has a strong national presence. The Endeavor thermal-fluid laboratories include a state-of the art recirculating wind tunnel, flume, and geothermal heat pump testbed as well as an array of basic heat transfer and thermodynamic experiments.
