Employment Type: Full time Shift:Description:Position is M-F, No weekends, no holidays, no call.Provides patient care in outpatient surgical operating room by utilizing aseptic technique while focusing on the needs of the surgical patient and exemplifying the service excellence goals of care, concern, respect and
cooperation. As a contributing member of the health care team, participates in a comprehensive surgical plan of care for assigned patient. Facility is an 8 operating room suite and does a variety of specialties (ENT, Ortho, Sports Med, ophthalmology, urology, gynecology, and general).Demonstrates basic case preparation. Selects equipment & supplies by use of preference cards. Locates basic equipment & supplies. Identifies & demonstrates methods of surgical reprocessing of instrumentation & supplies. Prepares self for the scrub role. Prepares surgical instrument supplies for surgery.Position Requirements:Minimum Education Required: Associate’ s Degree Specify Degree(s): Surgical TechnologyMinimum Experience: Required:Less than one year of previous job-related experiencePreferred: 1-2 years of previous job-related experienceLicensure/Certifications Required:CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) Preferred: Certified Surgical TechnologistAt Loyola, we know you’re more than your job.
