Responsibilities
The Paramedic, under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) or Physician, provides direct care to patients needing emergency medical treatment.
The Paramedic will provide assistance in maintaining supplies and providing high quality patient-centered to care to our patients.
The Paramedic will work under the supervision and direction of the physician and within the scope of the NM Licensed Paramedic Practice
Qualifications
Job Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED equivalent
All EMT-P’s will complete the RN competencies as currently in place and validated annually through Lovelace Education and in accordance with the NM EMT-P scope of practice.
EMT-Paramedic
BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required through American Heart Association
NIHSS Certification
2 years’ experience
Combination of hospital experience and experience as a paramedic may be used to meet the experience requirement
