Position Purpose:
Provide one-on-one and group tutoring to English language learners attending community sessions at the Eugene Public Library and liaise with Academic and Tutoring Services staff to support expanded evening and weekend access to tutoring and conversation groups; provide mentorship and modeling for volunteer tutors and conversation group leaders.

Lane Community College was founded in 1964 by a vote of local citizens, and the main campus opened in 1968. The college was a successor to the Eugene Technical-Vocational School that was founded in 1938.
